2013: A Year in Review12.31.2013 | 4:18 pm | Posted by The United Marble Staff

As we enjoy the holiday season and 2013 comes to a close, we can’t help but reflect on this past year as a year of action and excitement, anticipation, growth, and learning. A few of the highlights included:

  • Listening in as John Kilfoyle spoke on Stone Fabrication: The Art of Setting Customer Expectations at the 2013 StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas International Trade Show in Las Vegas.
  • Reading about our collaboration with Kochman Reidt + Haigh, A Touch of Glass, in the March issue of Design New England Magazine
  • Listening in as Tom Kilfoyle spoke at the Marble Institute of America Massachusetts Stone Summit in June.
  • Enjoying the Newport Wine and Food Festival with our closest friends and colleagues at beautiful Marble House as the signature sponsor alongside Jenn-Air and Design New England in September
  • The debut of BADtalks, our quarterly discussion series, created by John Kilfoyle and Paul Reidt of Kochman Reidt + Haigh in September
  • Listening and learning as John Kilfoyle spoke alongside industry experts Peter Fallon (Fallon Custom Homes), Jeremiah Eck (Eck|MacNeely Architects), and Michael Tcherniavski (SieMatic) at the 2013 Fall Design Salon Home’s Springboard: Start with the kitchen at the Boston SieMatic showroom in October
  • Enjoying the BRAGB 2013 Prism Awards as a Charity Sponsor in October
  • Cheering on FBN Construction and Leslie Fine Interiors for their “Best Bathroom” award on our sea-glass tile collaboration at the BRAGB 2013 Prism Awards in October
  • Watching the JW Construction team win Residential Interior – GOLD and Residential Specialty Interior – SILVER awards for our Lexington-area collaborations at the NARI Contractor of the Year Awards in November
  • Hitting some tricky Thanksgiving and Christmas deadlines, and exceeding our clients’ expectations and wildest dreams!
  • Meeting new friends and new clients all along the way

As we turn the page on 2013 and look forward to all that 2014 has to offer, we want to stop and wish you and yours a season full of love and light, from all of us at United Marble Fabricators!
